Virtual Book Talk, Morris-Jumel Mansion – September 16 (7 – 8 pm). I’ll be speaking about my book, The Battle of Harlem Heights, 1776, on the 250th anniversary of that engagement—the first battlefield victory by U.S. Army troops ever. This work is one of several volumes produced by Westholme Publishing through its Small Battles Series.

There is no cost to register for this event, which can be done here as the date approaches. This talk is part of the mansion’s monthly Virtual Parlor Chat series, which is archived on its YouTube channel. Built in 1765, the mansion served as General Washington’s headquarters at the time of the battle and is the oldest surviving residence in Manhattan.
