Dear Reader:
If you’re interested, the following link is to a YouTube video of a presentation I gave on September 16 via Zoom for the Morris-Jumel Mansion (MJM) in upper Manhattan on my fourth book, The Battle of Harlem Heights, 1776. The talk occurred on the 250th anniversary of that engagement—the first battlefield victory by U.S. Army troops ever.
The mansion, which is the oldest surviving residence in Manhattan and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1966, served as General George Washington’s headquarters at the time of the battle.
This event was part of the MJM Virtual Parlor Chat series, which is recorded on the museum’s YouTube channel.
Best regards,
dp
